The Eckert & Ziegler Group is one of the world's largest providers of isotope technology for medical, scientific and industrial use. The core businesses of the Group are: cancer therapy, industrial radiometry and  nuclear-medical imaging. The four business segments are:
Radiation Therapy, Isotope Products, Radiopharma and Environmental Services.

Eckert & Ziegler was founded in 1997 as a holding company. The oldest subsidiary, Eckert & Ziegler BEBIG GmbH, was preceded by the Zentralinstitut für Isotopentechnik, a research institute of the former Academy of Sciences of the GDR.

Since 1999 Eckert & Ziegler is listed at the Frankfurt Stock Market. The shares are traded at the Prime Standard segment.
