Hearings on IBt Take-over Bid Case Moved up to November

Berlin, 02.07.2009 - The Brussels court of Appeal has informed Eckert & Ziegler (ISIN DE0005659700) that the date for the court hearings in the law suit of CREAFUND versus Eckert & Ziegler regarding a mandatory take-over bid for Belgium medical device manufacturer International Brachytherapy S.A. has been moved up to mid-November. Concurrent to the re-scheduling of the case against CREAFUND, the court also moved up the schedule for the hearing about Eckert & Ziegler's objection to the CBFA to the same date. In light of this postponement, the Board of Directors does not expect that a verdict in the cases will be rendered still in this year.
