They are based on the current version of ISO9978. Some standard methods used for testing radiation sources are listed below.\r\n\r\nAll leakage tests for Eckert &amp; Ziegler Nuclitec (EZN) sources are performed according to the current version of ISO9978.\r\n<table class=\"border_and_background\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 264px;\">\r\n<tbody>\r\n<tr style=\"height: 56px;\">\r\n<th style=\"height: 56px; white-space: nowrap;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Wipe test I (A)<\/span><\/th>\r\n<th style=\"height: 56px; white-space: nowrap;\">Immersion test II (L)<\/th>\r\n<th style=\"height: 56px; white-space: nowrap;\">Bubble test III (D)<\/th>\r\n<th style=\"height: 56px; white-space: nowrap;\">Emanation test IV<\/th>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<tr style=\"height: 152px;\">\r\n<td style=\"height: 152px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The source is wiped with<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> a swab or tissue, moistened<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> with ethanol or water; the <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">activity removed is <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">measured.<\/span><\/td>\r\n<td style=\"height: 152px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;\">The source is immersed in a suitable liquid at 50\u00b0C for 4 hours and the activity removed is measured.<\/td>\r\n<td style=\"height: 152px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;\">The source is immersed in water or a suitable liquid and the pressure in the vessel reduced to 25-15 kPa. No bubbles <span lang=\"EN-US\">must be observed. (This<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> test conforms to ISO9978<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> exept that for sources, the <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">100mm3 free volume<\/span> requirement is not met).<\/td>\r\n<td style=\"height: 152px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;\">The source is placed in a gas tight enclosure with a suitable absorber and is left there for at least 3h.
