Eckert & Ziegler Adopts New Brand Architecture

Berlin, October 13th 2005. Eckert & Ziegler AG (ISIN DE 0005659700) has grown considerably through acquisitions, and has thus developed a complex and multilayered structure of branches. As a result, the company will now merge all its subsidiary firms under the umbrella brand name "Eckert & Ziegler." In the course of this process, the subsidiaries of the medical technology company will be renamed, and will gradually, starting in early 2006, attach the designation "Eckert & Ziegler" in front of their existing company names. This will enable a uniform appearance, while retaining the traditional company names. This measure is designed to create a better appreciation of the broad base and global reach of Eckert & Ziegler AG in the area of isotope technology.

To date, the various areas of operation have appeared on the market with different identities and brand names. The therapy branch has presented itself worldwide as BEBIG Strahlen- und Medizintechnik GmbH, while the nuclear medicine branch has been called Isotope Products Laboratories Inc. in America and Isotope Products Europe GmbH in Europe. Moreover, such newly acquired assets as Analytics or FCON still use their tradition names, while in communications with capital markets, the holding name of the parent company predominates. The incorporation of all these companies under the Eckert & Ziegler name will in the future simplify communications with customers, distributors, finance markets, suppliers and other target groups, and make them more transparent. BEBIG will thus henceforth use the designation "Eckert & Ziegler BEBIG GmbH," and Isotope Products Europe GmbH the name "Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products GmbH." This process is to be carried out in a similar manner in all subsidiary companies.

For the standardization of communications, the Group-wide e-mail addresses will, as of the beginning of 2006, be consolidated under @ezag.de (for European and Asian sites, up from November 2005) and @ezag.com (for North American sites, within 1st half of 2006), and the individual group web sites centralized under www.ezag.com. To underscore Eckert & Ziegler's position as an international isotope specialist in the medical industry, the brand change in the medical segments will be accompanied by the slogan "Isotopes for Health".
