Eckert & Ziegler: Stock Buy Back Programm Approved

Berlin, 23.04.2002. The board of Eckert & Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG will exercise its option of the authorization for a stock buy back programm as of April 23, 2002.

In view of the historical lows of the share price, which in recent days have been partly below the book value of the total stockholder's equity, the Board will exercise this option. The stock buy back programm was authorized by the shareholders at the last annual shareholder meeting.
