Eckert & Ziegler Plans Takeover of Gamma-Service
Eckert & Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG / Key word(s): Takeover Berlin, 24 May, 2017 - Eckert & Ziegler AG (ISIN DE0005659700) has today been awarded the contract to take over significant parts of the Gamma-Service Group, based in the German state of Saxony, as part of a tendering process. A payment of approximately EUR 8 million was agreed upon by the parties for the takeover of four debt-free companies. This includes compensation for liquid funds and positive net working capital. Subject to approval by the Supervisory Board and to detailed agreements that have yet to be concluded, the plans call for a takeover as of May 31, 2017. The companies concerned, which include a manufacturer of blood irradiation equipment, a specialist for the construction of laboratory and handling equipment as well as a producer of radiation sources for industry, employ a staff of around 150 at four European locations and generated sales of some EUR 20 million in fiscal year 2016.
