Eckert & Ziegler AG: 20% Growth in Revenues, 37% in Earnings

Berlin, 6 March 2007 – Based on preliminary calculations (unaudited) Eckert & Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG (ISIN DE0005659700), a specialist for medical and industrial radiation products, increased its 2006 annual revenue from 41.8 mm EUR by 8.6 mm EUR to 50.4 mm EUR and its earnings per share from 0.51 EUR to 0.70 EUR. During the last quarter of 2006, revenues topped 14.4 mm EUR, a new record and an increase of 16% over last years forth quarter value (12.4 mm EUR).

The operating income before expenses for discontinued products (SpondylAT®) more than doubled from 2.5 mm EUR to 5.9 mm EUR. EBIT from continuing operations increased from 4.3 to 5.7 mm EUR, the EBITDA from continuing operations from 8.2 to 10.3 mm EUR. A reduction of debt lead to an increase in the equity ratio from 52 to 56%.
